I haven't worked out the right way to tell Cab that her maternity pants don't really fit anymore!
Who knows, maybe maternity pants hitched up to your armpits will become the next fashion statement?!?

A budding entomologist?? Eliza is pondering the anatomical inaccuracies of her buggly friends!
Eli LOVES her bug/flower mobile and gets very excited and 'talks' to them whenever they start rotating. However, bugs aren't too smart and evidently don't do whatever it is Eli tells them to do so she usually ends up getting rather stroppy with them after awhile!

Eliza 'talking' on the phone to Nanna McGovern - I don't know what Nanna was saying but it got Eli's attention!

Eli loves getting 'rasbellies'. Her suit makes her look like a big red tomato!

Eliza and her hirsute father!

We live <10 minute drive to the Mt Lofty lookout over Adelaide - it was a bit hazy but you can see the CBD in the background.

Poor Eliza has her first cold and was at the doctor's 5 hours before this video (~12MB) was taken. She really is a dream baby, check out how happy she is even though she is ill - what a cutie!

This is another movie file of ~18MB so it may take a while to download!

Friday, December 08, 2006

Dad finally worked out how to post movies onto the blogsite! This movie was put together about a day after Eliza was born. Note: This is a relatively large file (~18MB) so it will take a long time to download if you are on dialup!

A local 'tree pig' who pops into our place every now and again

Heading back inside after the epic journey!

It's all a bit overwhelming for the little one

Into the wilderness......

Adventure seekers!

Check out 'the stare'

A quick pit stop at the front of the house before venturing on further

Getting ready for a big trip.....to the frontyard!!

Note: the front of the house is facing away from the road so the front yard is really the back yard

Eliza loves playing horsey

Terrance and Eliza having a 'cute-off' contest (Terrance isn't fat she just has big stomach bones!)

Victory is mine!!

One for the Family Guy fans: Eli in her fantastic 'Stewie' outfit made for her by Nanna McGovern!

Will the cuteness ever stop??

More cuteness!

Eliza preparing for a big day at Cab's work christmas party in the beautiful dress given to her by her Great Aunty Julia - how cute!

Eli loves her elevated elephant entourage!

Eli currently has two 'words' in her vocabulary:

Gurgles (as shown above) mean happy/good/funny/more

Grunts mean unhappy/annoyed/don't/imminent arrival of the poo poo express

We're pretty sure there is a baby somewhere underneath that dummy!

Living life in the fast lane!

Eli has been gradually working the bars in her cot, weakening them in preparation for her big escape!

We suspect Eliza really misses being in the belly!

Check out that grip and bicep muscle - you'd need the 'jaws of life' to seperate her from mum!

Eliza's first time with a bottle. She reckons its alright but it ain't as good as the real thing!

Eli had her first smile and giggle at 4am yesterday morning - very cute!!

Eliza getting some quality time with Mum! Eli is continuing to sleep really well, she had a 7 hour sleeping marathon (woohoo!!) after strutting her stuff at her Great Grandparent's 60th wedding anniversery celebration last Saturday night.

Eli wearing the fantastic top her Great Aunty Anne knitted for her!

Check out how much she has grown in just over five weeks!!

Our first day at home, all are exhausted.

Eliza and Daddy spending some quality time. Daddy is teaching Eli how to 'pull his finger'!

Eliza loving the great gifts from Uncle Stuart, Aunty Mel and Hamish!

It's just a shame that one arm is a bit shorter than the other....

A very proud Grandpa holding Eliza!

Eliza with her cousin Nash and Aunty Jacqui (Eli's looking a bit like Ike from South Park!)

Waking up! Eliza and parents have been sleeping well so far. Eliza wakes up every 3-4 hours for a feed, has a bit of a stare session at whatever is around and then goes back to sleep again. No screaming sessions as yet!

Sleeping beauty!

Prehensile toes???
